Timers and other accessories

It’s a good idea to plug your RugBuddy or FootBuddy into a plug-in timer so you don’t accidentally leave it on when you go to bed, or go out.

RugBuddy will work with any plug-in timer,  and you may have your own favourite type.

If you have any form of home automation, you will want a plug-in timer or smart-plug that works with the app or smart speaker.

Otherwise, you might like the timer I use with my RugBuddy at home.

It’s a countdown type allowing you to select how long you want the RugBuddy to be on, and it’s not expensive.

The choice of settings range up to 6 hours which is perfect when you use the RugBuddy occasionally, or only in the evening as we do.

If you have a daily routine you can set the timer to repeat the ‘on-period’ every day at the same time. You can even set the timer to ‘always-on’, but this is not recommended in the interests of economy and safety.
